Book made in the United Kingdom by the Albanian Society probably in the 1970’s. Published by Farleigh Press, Watford. About the Corfu Channel Case. The Corfu Channel case was the first public international law case heard before the International Court of Justice (ICJ) between 1947 and 1949, concerning state responsibility for damages at sea, as well as the doctrine of innocent passage. Following a series of encounters from May to November 1946 in the Corfu Channel between the United Kingdom and the People’s Republic of Albania one of which resulted in damage to two Royal Navy ships and significant loss of life. The United Kingdom brought suit in the ICJ seeking reparations. The ICJ issued separate merits and compensation judgments in 1949. The Court awarded the United Kingdom £843,947. This amount remained unpaid for decades, and British efforts to see it paid led to another ICJ case to resolve competing Albanian and Italian claims to more than two tons of Nazi gold. In 1996, Albania and the United Kingdom settled the judgment along with Albania’s outstanding claim to the gold. Corfu Channel has had a lasting influence on the practice of international law, especially the law of the sea.

Today the ELF is based in Khartoum, Sudan, operating political organization that is opposed to the current regime in Eritrea. The originally Marxist-Leninist organization was founded in July 1960 by Eritrean students in Cairo, Egypt with the aim of establishing a state of Eritrea independent of Ethiopia through guerrilla warfare. Book made in the Netherlands, by the Rode Jeugd (Red Youth). The book is a report of a undercover operation of the BVD (Ducth Secret Service) now the AIVD in 1973. The aim of the BVD was to have a infiltrator within the Red Youth and who was able to deliver a gun with the fingerprints of one of the heads of the Red Youth. The infiltrator played along with the BVD and the gun was supposed to be handed at at secret meeting in a bar to a BVD agent. When the BVD agent unfolded the package in front of the “infiltrator” there was only a tissue and no gun. The “infiltrator” said they would needed it for crying because there operation had failed thus realizing their “infiltrator” played a game with them. In this book is the full report, along with transcripted phonecalls and pictures of the “handover”. The Red Youth organization stem from a group of people around the magazine “The Red Youth” founded in 1966 by the Pro-Chinese Red Flag movement. In 1967, relatively shortly after the emergence, the group split from the Red Flag movement to set up its own organization. A small group of 15 people traveled to South Yemen to follow a camp of the People’s Front for the liberation of Palestine combat training, where the RAF was also doing it’s training. In the end, a number of attacks, including bomb attacks, were conducted mainly in and around teh city of Eindhoven in the Netherlands. However, no of these actions were people killed. In September 1972, the car from the Chief Commissioner of the police and the house of the mayor was blown up. When preparing attacks, the Red Youth was also assited by the Marxist-Leninist Party in the Netherlands. In fact, the MLPN was a undercover operation of the domestic security service. Part of the Red Youth was the Red Aid, in support of prisoners and the Red Resistance Front, an organization that conducted protestactions in support of caught RAF members and also provided certain support to the RAF.

Book made in the Netherlands, by the Rood Verzetsfront (Red Resistancefront) probably in the 1970’s. From the book:”The target of psychological warfare is the armed anti-imperialist struggle and the revolutionary groups who fight this struggle to protect against lies and distortions”. The Red Resistance Front existed from 1977 to 1985. Former members of the Red Youth (a communist group) and its affiliated Red Aid were active in the organisation. The RVF was an aid organization for the “armed resistance” in Western Europe, together with a large number of pamphlets mainly protesting against the detention situation of imprisoned members of the German Red Army Faction (RAF) The RVF also conducted and coordinated actions against the European Parliament elections, which were held for the first time in 1979. The group saw it as part of a political structure that would give Germany and the United States too much power in Europe.

Book made in the Netherlands, 1952, by Pegasus Publisher, Amsterdam. The title of the book reads:”About The Internal Party Struggle”. From the book:”A lecture delivered on July 2, 1941 at the party school for central China”. This book once belonged to Andries Oele. Inside the books you’ll find the signature of him. Oele was a well-known and notorious radical Maoist in the 1970’s in the city of Rotterdam, The Netherlands. He always stood out by standing at the back of a hall at meetings and public gatherings (such as May 1 celebrations) and shouting his slogans (“Death to capital! Long live Marxism-Leninism! Long live Chairman Mao!”). While the many small communist splinter groups were happy with any soul they could recruit, they would rather lose Andries than get rich. Nevertheless he was a member of KORO (Communist Organization Rotterdam and Surroundings). Andries Oele worked in construction so the left-wing intellectual Rotterdam got some appreciation for this: a real worker, after all. In 1977 Oele was caught in bed with someone’s wife. Her deceived husband immediately took a gun and shot both Andries and his own wife. A double murder. A Dutch Maoist publisher was asked to clean out Oele’s house. Behind the frontdoor he found a wonderful house that had been completely renovated as if it were a ship’s cabin. You had to duck to go inside and could look through portholes to other dark spaces. He collected all Oele’s books, almost entirely Marxist-Leninist works and works by old Dutch socialists, such as Troelstra and Domela Nieuwenhuis.

They were named after Ernst Thälmann, the former leader of the Communist Party of Germany who was executed at the Buchenwald concentration camp. The group was a subdivision of the Freie Deutsche Jugend (FDJ, Free German Youth), East Germany’s youth movement. It was founded in 1948 and broke apart in 1989 on German reunification. From the 1960s and 1970s, nearly all schoolchildren between ages 6 and 14 were organised into Young Pioneer or Thälmann Pioneer groups. The pioneer group was loosely based on Scouting, but organised in such a way as to teach schoolchildren aged 6 – 14 socialist ideology and prepare them for the Freie Deutsche Jugend, the FDJ. Its organisation was similar to Scouting and other such organisations. Afternoons spent at the pioneer group mainly consisted of a mixture of adventure, myth-like socialist teaching and the upkeep of revolutionary traditions.

Pennant made in the DDR. The text on the pennant reads:”For good work in the holiday summer” and on the back:”Schuler Brigade”. The Free German Youth, also known as the FDJ (in German Freie Deutsche Jugend), is a youth movement in Germany. Formerly it was the official youth movement of the DDR and the Socialist Unity Party of Germany. The color blue was their primary colour. The organization was meant for young people, both male and female, between the ages of 14 and 25. In 1981 it had 2.3 million members. After being a member of the Thalmann Pioneers, which was for schoolchildren ages 6 to 14, East German youths would usually join the FDJ. Those who did not join lost access to organized holidays, and found it difficult to be admitted to universities, pursue chosen careers etc. The majority of youths who refused to join did so for religious reasons. While the movement was intended to promote Marxist–Leninist ideology among East Germany’s young people, it also arranged thousands of holidays for young people through its Jugendtourist agency, and ran discos and open air rock concerts.
